MH-BactoProtech ™

MH-BactoProtech is a technology based on the patented live (probiotic) or inactivated (paraprobiotic) bacterial strains of Lactobacillus helveticus MIMLh5.

Back to Technologies

The tindalized probiotic approach represents an alternative strategy in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, not only at the intestinal level but also at other sites of the body where the microbiota plays a role in the maintenance of physiological homeostasis.

Metis Healthcare has the exclusive license for MIMLh5 to prevent Streptococcus pyogenes infections at the pharyngeal level (pharyngitis).

MH-BactoProtech, based on Lactobacillum Helveticus MIMLH5, was studied by University of Milan in its action of competition with pathogens, reduction of inflammation, immunomodulation activity and reduction of symptoms of allergic reactions through the restoring of the Th1/Th2 balance.

Lactobacillum Helveticus MIMLH5, exerts its action even when inactivated (tyndalized), this improves user safety and make this bacteria allowable for use in medical devices according to current EU Regulation.
